Engineered for simple, effective and fluent communication, the Boom!™ Audio 30K Bluetooth® Headset is Harley-Davidson®'s flagship wireless headset. Featuring 2 modules, 1 Bluetooth® and 1 Mesh, Boom!™ Audio 30K allows 13 hours of talk time and has an 8km range. With the bluetooth module, riders have the ability to wirelessly communicate with up to 4 other riders. The mesh module allows for wireless communication with up to 16 riders in private modes, and virtually limitless in public mode within 1.2kms. This feature would see its full potential in organised large group rides.
Concerned that you won’t be able to connect with other Bluetooth headsets of a different manufacturer? Well don’t be. Harley® has made the Boom!™ Audio 30K a universal intercom, allowing connectability with other bluetooth brands such as Cardo and Sena.
Charging time is swift, claiming 1.5 hours to full charge or 20 minutes for 5 hours of operation. Safe to say, this should easily get you through a full day of riding.
Other interesting features include an ambiented mode, which essentially allows riders to both hear sounds from the headset speakers and external noises on the road. An automatic volume adjuster is a welcomed addition, granting riders to retain full control of the bike without raising their hands to adjust volume. These are all innovative and smart features and it's clear that Harley® has really thought about rider enjoyment and convenience here.
The Boom!™ Audio 30K Bluetooth® Headset can be integrated with your bike’s Boom!™ Box infotainment system, yet will require the Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) (units sold separately). When paired with the WHIM, riders will be able to enjoy full stereo sound and use the bike's infotainment screen to configure the headset. Changing through music, phone integration, GPS and push-to-talk intercom conversations becomes incredibly fluent and effortless.
How to pair your Boom!™ Audio 30K Bluetooth® Headset with your Harley Davidson®?
Hold down the center and phone button on the headset to turn the device on.
Once the headset is on, hold down the phone button for roughly 6 seconds.
Your headset should be flashing a red and blue light. This indicates the headset is ready to be connected to your Harley®.
Head to your Boom!™ Box infotainment system and select Setup > Wireless Headset Setup > Pair Rider
The headset and your Harley Davidson® will be paired and integrated for maximum convenience.
Without the WHIM, you can control your Boom!™ Audio 30K through available hands-free voice commands or the glove friendly jog dial menu navigation. And, if you prefer to use earbuds, there is an available earbud port in the base.
